Known for the unique beauty of its flora and fauna the Bundjalung National Park also boasts some of the most stunning beaches on the North Coast. The most popular swimming spots, with both locals and tourists alike, are Bluff Beach and Woody Head. Bluff Beach also offers a walking trail to the top of the headland where a whale watching platform has been constructed. The short trek is well worthwhile for the breathtaking scenery. The Bluff rocks, Frazer's Reef and Back Beach are productive and popular fishing spots. The area is also a great spot for snorkelling and wave riding. |

Iluka's World Heritage Rainforest is one of the last remaining stands of beachside rainforest in Australia and is home to an amazing number of bird species. Other fauna you may discover in the rainforest are wallabies, koalas, emus and echidna. The walking trail through the forest is wheelchair accessible and extends from beach to township, a distance of 2.5 kms. |
